Spirit Fitness is a U.S. Company established in the early 80’s where they manufactured Toning Tables.  In the later part of the 80’s they started manufacturing Treadmills and this is when they entered the Fitness Industry.  In 1987 Spirit Fitness manufactured a full line of Treadmills and Stair Climbers.  In 1989 they produced a line of Home Gyms that they continued until 1992 where they stopped production of Home Gyms and Stair Climbers.

Spirit Fitness has not only produced their own equipment but they've also produced equipment for a number of other fitness companies such as Smooth, Sports Art and Sole.  In the mid 1990’s Spirit Fitness dominated the Treadmill industry with their line of products and 1994 was one of the best selling years of Treadmills for Spirit Fitness. Spirit Fitness provides its customers with the highest quality components, most important features and attention to detail that their engineers, with over twenty-five years of experience, have found the buyer is looking for.  Spirit Fitness has selected their product selection to provide several options and features so the owner can achieve a healthy lifestyle.  Their Treadmills and Ellipticals belong in the mid-priced range Category.  The Treadmill prices are between $1,000 and $2,400, and the Elliptical prices are between $700 and $2,000.

Their Treadmills come with a very competitive warranty.  They have a Lifetime warranty on their frame, 20 years – Lifetime on their motor, 2 years – 5 years on their Parts and 1 year – 2 years on the labor.

In 2004 Spirit Fitness was acquired by Dyaco, a Taiwanese company that manufacturers many Treadmills and Ellipticals like Sole.  As a matter of fact, certain Treadmill and Elliptical models for Spirit are identical to the Sole model.  For some, the only difference is the color and emblems.  Everything else is exactly the same.  With Dycao acquiring Spirit Fitness, they have been given the financial strength, and manufacturing ability to be as innovative as it once was in the 1990’s.

Today, Dyaco is one of the largest treadmill manufacturers in the world producing over 500,000 Treadmills since the mid 1980’s.  They have also produced over 40,000 Ellipticals since the early 2000’s.
